What is this gStat all about ?
gStat is a tool which monitor Google News and collects important statistics about all News sources. This includes your source too. So using gStat, you can track how well your site is doing on Google News, how may times your site appeared, in which position and in which category. More appearances and appearance in prominent positions on Google News mean more users, hot traffic and over all more visibility.

Is this free or how much does it cost me ?

Why only Google News India ?
We are starting off with Google News India. We already monitor other Google News versions. The interface to stats for other versions will be released soon.

What is Prominence Score ?
Prominence Score is a measure of how important the appearances were. Being featured as the main headline will not bring in the same clickthroughs to your site as appearing as the third headline in a news block. So prominence score tells you how valuable those appearances were.

What do you mean by Main Headline or Source Mention ?
Every Google News version displays the news in blocks of related news. Pictures speaks louder than a thousand words. So we thought lets save our thousand words. Here is the picture :)
