What is this bidding all about ?
Firstly please go through
the gStat general FAQ. Starting July, gStat is going exclusive. You need to have a monthly subscription to access the stats of your news website. The first month, we are selling only 10 subscriptions, yes just 10. This way, the beta service will just service a select few and ensure we provide exclusive and premium support to the select group, take in your feature requests which are beneficial to your site and keep the service away from your competitors. Remember that Google News services a fixed number of users and all the news sites are fighting for the fixed number of eyeballs. Keeping it exclusive and limited, we are keeping your competitors away from this service.
We will sell licenses / subscriptions to only 10 news sites starting July 2008. We will decide whom to sell the subsciption based on the highest bids we receive. If the highest bid is $120 and the 10th highest is $35, we will sell the subscription to all the top 10 bidders at $35 per month. So the amount you are bidding needs to be the maximum amount you are willing to pay for this service per month. Do not worry about bidding too high as anyway you will be charged/sold the service at the lowest succesful bid, ie the 10th highest bid. So every one who is sold the service (the top 10) will pay the same amount per month, ie the 10th highest bid.
The bidding will end on 30th June 2007. If you have any questions, you can contact us
by clicking here. Once your bid reaches us, we will contact you to verify your email id. So please use an email @ your news service. We can provide you a discount if you provide a link to our service the footer of all pages on your news website. If you do not want to go through the bidding process and just want to buy the service, contact us and let us know. So welcome to the bidding !!
